In June 2023, Dr. Markowitz picked the winners of his first annual college scholarship program - in which he has awarded two current high school seniors $1,000 each towards college expenses! The scholarship contest is a way for Dr. Markowitz to give back to the communities that he serves, spread positivity, and build confidence in his individual patients.

A smile can be a very powerful thing. At Markowitz Orthodontics, we love making people smile and we strive to spread smiles throughout our community. Describe a time when your smile inspired someone else to smile.
The contest was judged by local personalities and community leaders including:

- Sixx King- Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Sixx Degrees Media
- Hallee Adelman - Author of award winning children's books, Co founder of HA productions
- Dr. Joshua Baron - Emergency medicine physician, Medical director
- Dr. Amrita Bahn - Orthodontist
- Drew Heinerichs - Gladwyne Elementary School teacher and youth Basketball coach
